Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Alexander Lesokhin

Alexander Lesokhin, oboe, received his Bachelor of Music in 1995 from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where he studied oboe performance with Ronald Roseman. An active semi-professional musician, he has performed with many local community orchestras and chamber groups including six seasons as the oboist with the New Rochelle Opera Company and three seasons as principal oboe with the Riverside Orchestra. He recently appeared as soloist in the Mozart Oboe Concerto with the Albert Einstein Symphony Orchestra. A member of the Einstein medical school class of 2002, he will begin his internal medicine residency in July 2002 — and, unfortunately, will probably be unable to play with Musica Bella while that residency is in progress. We’ll miss him. (Update: Alex was able to play our June 2003 concert, and might conceivably be able to play some concerts with us in the 2003-2004 season.)

Musica Bella concerts: January 20, 2002; June 2, 2002; June 21, 2003
